Two housing associations have joined JV North to access its £500 million framework and fast-track their building of new homes.
Your Housing Group and Irwell Valley Homes have joined the consortium as procurement members.
Managing in the region of 29,000 properties across the North West, Your Housing Group is a Strategic Partner of Homes England.
It has entered three contracting entities with JV North: Your Housing Group Ltd, Your Housing Ltd and Nuvu Development Ltd.
Irwell Valley Homes in Greater Manchester, which has a pipeline to build 800 affordable homes over the next five years, has joined JV North as Irwell Valley Developments Ltd.
Procurement member status allows both organisations full access to JV North’s four-year, £500 million contractor and consultant framework that went live in August.
Within this are three construction lots with contractors appointed to deliver development schemes valued at up to £4 million, from £4 million to £12 million and £12 million and above.
Seven consultant groups complement this ranging from architectural services and clerks of works to principal designers and employers agents.
JV North Chair, John Bowker, said: “The procurement membership gives registered providers a really flexible option and direct access to our framework so they can accelerate their housebuilding schemes without having to start a full procurement exercise.
“The framework has been tailor made with a comprehensive collection of consultants and contractors so all aspects of housebuilding – regardless of the size of the scheme – can be delivered in one place at pace.”
Procurement members are able to take out a one-year membership option with no long-term commitment and build an unlimited number of homes using JV North’s framework.
