JV North members handed over the keys to more than 700 newly built homes in 2022, latest figures reveal.
The consortium registered 730 completed units across the North West from January to December.
The majority of which are from the 2016/21 Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme that will see a total of over 4,550 properties being built.
And a further 675 homes started on site as JV North members continue pushing forward building more in the latest Affordable Homes Programme that runs from 2021 to 2026.
2022 saw a return to pre-Covid levels with members maintaining their impressive track record of completing the equivalent of three new homes every working day in the year.
Chairman of JV North, Wayne Gales, who is also Chief Executive of Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: “The need for high quality, affordable homes grows year-on-year and we are playing a key role in the North West meeting demand.
“The appetite members have to build continues unabated with over 4,000 affordable homes being delivered by 2026 in the latest programme.
“The importance of this work cannot be underestimated.
“The country has an ageing population with people living longer while the cost of living crisis is forcing more into hardship and turning to social housing providers for an affordable home.”
JV North members will invest in the region of £600 million in the 2021/26 programme with grant funding of c.£200 million from Homes England.
