Contractors and consultants on JV North’s £560 million homebuilding framework are being invited to a special engagement day.
Saffer Cooper Consultancy, which manages JV North’s homebuilding programme, is hosting the day on October 5 at its Ashton Old Baths offices in Ashton-under-Lyne.
It will see representatives from all 12 of JV North members attending: Bury Council, Johnnie Johnson Housing, One Manchester, Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, Muir Group, Plus Dane Housing, Sovini, Stockport Homes, Torus, Trafford Housing Trust, Weaver Vale Housing Trust and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.
An overview of the framework will be provided with contractors and consultants able to ask questions, hold discussions and share marketplace insight.
Sean Stafford, Managing Director of Saffer Cooper Consultancy, said: “JV North’s four-year framework launched a year ago and saw 24 contractors appointed along with a large number of consultants to nine different lots.
“These businesses play a crucial role helping members deliver thousands of homes so it is really important that we ensure they are working together as efficiently and effectively as possible.
“The session will be really informative for both JV North and framework members as well as allowing both parties to exchange information, intelligence and ideas.”
JV North’s framework will help members build in the region of 4,000 homes by 2025.
It focuses on not only addressing the housing crisis but working together with contractors and consultants to create high quality homes that contribute positively to the communities in which they are situated.
JV North’ Building Back Fairer principle underpins the framework with those appointed working with member organisations to also provide clear social value outcomes and address key issues such as inequality, poor health, unemployment and apprenticeships.
